Buffy Sainte-Marie supports the Idle No More Movement (Video)

Hi I'm Buffy St. Marie and I wish I was there. I am with you in solidarity, I wish you were here too.

Thank you so much for everything you guys are doing on behalf of Idle No More.

Thank you Chief Spence, thank you to our 4 founders and all the people that are helping to make this necessity, this dream, a reality. I want to applaud you.

This is something that is going on not only in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, not only in Canada but all over the world. There are people supporting chief Spence as well.

Prime Minister Harper, please, seize this opportunity to represent on behalf of all Canadians, the fact that we can make things better now. The time is right now - we have set it up.

There are many, many reserves, not just Chief Spence's reserve, who are in identical situations of poverty and need.

What a brilliant thing for the world to be doing, and for Canada to lead in making things better for the indigenous people. Do it for us all! Thank you, all of you!

Buffy Sainte Marie's bass player Leroy Constant is refusing to take responsibilty for his daughter who was born in Australia this September to a Buffy Fan he took advantage of...as a long time buffy fan it saddens me to know that such a person is part of her music
