Bruthers of Different Muthers
Speakers of Tomorrow
Bruthers of Different Muthers (BODM) spent over a year creating their first album, “Speakers of Tomorrow”, released September 2011. As self-published songwriters & musicians, having no label, agent or manager backing them, they release the album and start putting in the hard work & commitment necessary to promote an album in a record label & cd sales dominated music industry. Their commitment and hard work as independent artists is already starting to pay-off.
Since the release of their first album BODM:
— Won “Best Rock CD” at the 2011 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards
— Nominated at the 2012 JUNO AWARDs for Aboriginal Album of the Year
— Single “Speakers of Tomorrow” Hit #1 on the National Aboriginal Music Countdown
BODM have been building their grassroots fan base across Canada whom gave them their first award and the fans continue to support the Bruthers, propelling their single “Speakers of Tomorrow” to #1 on the National Aboriginal Music Countdown (NAMC) on February 11, 2012. The band’s second single “How Long” is already getting airplay.
Following their JUNO nomination, a whirlwind of interest and support from the music industry and media has surrounded BODM, finding themselves conducting multiple interviews in one day and pressing to keep up with the demands. At the same time BODM is already writing new songs for their second album, planning for their next year of live shows while looking for distribution and management.BODM’s upcoming JUNO Nomination will be yet another step on the music scene ladder and BODMs first chance to share their music with a broader audience. Everyone who hears BODM’s music will know they are multidimensional artists who have widespread music listening and market appeal.
