In 1974 I made a record with Norbert Putnam called "Changing Woman", which took its title from this song. I'd been spending time with Apache and Navajo friends, and their beautiful religious poetry inspired me in many ways.
Eagle Man
climbing the skies
Red light of evening
falls like rain
Rainbow's my yarn
The sky is my loom
I will weave sunsets
later on
Snow Woman
Climbing the wind
Blue light of winter
fills her baskets
Oh woh-h Changing Woman
Dance on the weather
Lightning and feathers
mark her trail
Life Lovers
splinting the worlds
Healing the broken
and the lame
Reach out to me
Give me your hands
We close the circuits of time
Angel Ranger
Stay here by me
Guide my transmission
of energy
Oldest religion
simple and clear
Pour out a lesson
into my dream
Eagle Man
climbing the skies
Red light of evening
falls like rain
Rainbows my yarn
The sky is my loom
I will weave sunsets
later on.

As a 1970-74 Buffy fanatic never thought I'd get a new Buffy song to tease into its words she is sucha poet, saying so much in so little, I am ecstatc (can you tell this is a new one one for me)
I really love the Eagle Man/Changing Woman song..it speaks to my soul <3
one of my favorites
My father was weak, sick (alcoholic) My Mother and Grandfather wove the Fabric of my future. I was not always appreciative of that fact, but time has shown me what I missed growing up. Men do not always understand the lessons learned from the Women in their lives, but they are there. I salute the Women in my life, not just on "International Woman's Day", but everyday. "Thanks" also, Buffy, for the wisdom in your words.
Poor Buffy!
I hope someone gave a hiding to the sound engineer ...
So beautiful to hear this - don't understand the last comment no wonder they remain anonymous!
